Standard session

$200 / 50 minutes

Your initial session runs for 80 minutes, at the same fee.

Medicare rebate (with referral) −$101.55

Your out-of-pocket cost $98.45

The full fee is paid at the time of your session. If you have a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan, you claim the Medicare rebate separately through Medicare after the session.

Medicare rebates With a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP or psychiatrist, sessions with a registered psychologist attract a Medicare Better Access rebate of $101.55 per session, bringing your out-of-pocket cost to $98.45.
Private health cover Many extras policies cover psychology sessions. It’s worth checking your policy or calling your fund to confirm.
Reduced-fee sessions A limited number of reduced-fee sessions may be available where cost is a barrier. Raise this when you get in touch.
